We Believe

that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error and the infallible rule of faith and practice. The Word of God is the foundation upon which the church operates and is the basis for which the church is governed. We believe that the Word of God supersedes any earthly law that is contrary to the Holy Scriptures (Isaiah 28:13; Neh 8:8; John 17:17; 2 Tim 3:15-17; Heb 4:12; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:3-4, 21).

The Trinity

that there is one living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all things (Genesis 1:1; Deu 6:4; Isaiah 44:8, 48:16; Matt 28:19-20; John 10:30; Heb 1:3).

The father

in the person of God the Father, an infinite, eternal, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through Jesus Christ (Deu 33:27; Psalm 90:2, 102:27; John 3:16, 4:24; 1 Tim 1:17; Titus 1:3).

The Son

in the deity of Christ John 1:1-2; John 10:33; Rev 1:8; The many prophecies of His coming Mic 5:2; His virgin birth Isa 7:14; Matt 1:23; Luke 1:34-35; His sinless life Heb 4:15, 7:26; His teachings and miracles John 2:11 John 8:58; His vicarious and atoning death John 11:25; 1 Cor 15:3; Eph 1:7; Heb 2:9; 1 John 1:2; His bodily resurrection John 11:25; 1 Cor 15:3-4; His ascension to the right hand of the Father Mark 16:19; 1 Tim 3:16; Heb 1:8; His perpetual intercession for His people and His personal return to earth in power and glory Acts 1:11; Rev 19:11-16.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, Who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ (John 16:8-11; Acts 1:8; Rom 8:26, 15:13,16; 2 Cor 3:18; Heb 9:14). We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide (John 16:13, 14:16-17, 16:8-11; Rom 8:26).
The absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of the human nature, and that all are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God’s grace through faith alone are we saved John 3:16-19; John 5:24; Rom 3:23, 5:8-9; Eph 2:8-10; Titus 3:5.

Salvation by Grace

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and choice, falling short of God’s standard and breaking His commandments – and therefore are under God’s righteous judgment. Yet, God saves and gives new life to all who come to Him in repentance and faith, trusting in the Person and work of Jesus Christ. This salvation is not based upon works but the grace of God. At the cross, Jesus Christ died in our place as our substitute, absorbing God’s wrath that should have come upon us. Because Jesus died for the sins of the world the invitation to believe is open to all, and whoever desires may come unto Jesus for new life and the forgiveness of sins. Apart from receiving this grace through faith in Jesus Christ no person can be saved (Matt11:28; John 3:16; Acts 3:19, 20:21; Rom 3:23; Eph 2:1-3, 8-9; 1 John 2:2; Rev 22:17).

Christian Example

that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is this (agape) love that we desire to possess and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians 1 John 4:16-17.

Spiritual Unity

in the spiritual unity of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ Rom 8:9; 1 Cor 12:12-13; Gal 3:26-28.

Physical gathering of the Body

in the physical in person fellowship of the saints Heb 10:25; and that by the physical presence with other Christians in our lives the Lord often times uses these interactions to work on areas of our  lives to shape us into a mirrored image of Jesus Christ Eph 4:2-3.

Present ministry of the Holy Spirit

in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life Rom 8:13-14;1 Cor 3:16, 6:19-20; Eph 4:30, 5:18.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and that it is a subsequent experience to salvation and the gifts of the Spirit are essential for the individual believer and the church as a whole Acts 1:8.

Gifts of the Holy Spirit

in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and that God has placed certain individuals within the both local and larger Body of Christ for the purpose and Equipping for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the Body of Christ Eph 4:7, 4:11-13; So that the Body is not confused by every wind of doctrine but are of sound mind Eph4:14; in the unity we have in Christ Jesus Eph 4:4.

Jesus Committed two ordinances to the Church

Believers Baptism

We practice believers baptism of individuals who are mature enough to understand the significance of the ordinance. We believe in Baptism by immersion.

The Lord's Super

Is practiced as a memorial, in remembrance of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. Bread and wine, or grape juice, are unchanged elements, symbols of Jesus’ body and blood.

both of which are open to all believers in Jesus Christ.

Neither Five-Point Calvinist nor Armenian

We are neither Five-Point Calvinists, nor are we Arminians. We adhere firmly to the biblical teaching of God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility. We avoid any theological systems of belief that go beyond the written Word and thereby divide the body of Christ.

"Positive Confession"

We do not believe in “positive confession” (the faith movement belief that God can be commanded to heal or work miracles according to man’s will), human prophecy that supersedes the Scriptures, the incorporation of humanistic and secular psychology into biblical teaching; the overemphasis of spiritual gifts and experiential signs and wonders to the exclusion of biblical teaching, or that true Christians can be demon-possessed.

Christ's Second Coming

We await the pre-tribulation rapture of the church, and we believe in the literal Second Coming of Christ with His saints which will be His personal and visible return to Earth and the establishment of His millennial kingdom at that time, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless separation of the wicked (Matt 16:27; Acts 1:11; Rev 19:11-16, 20:11-15).
This motivates us to holy living, heartfelt worship, committed service, diligent study of God’s Word, regular fellowship, participation in adult baptism by immersion and Holy Communion.

Resurrection of all

in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are not unto the resurrection of damnation John 5:28-29.

Marriage

We believe in the Biblical account of creation and God as the Creator. We believe that God created man and that He created them male and female. As such, He created them different to complement and complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, homosexuality, and all other “sexual preferences” or “orientations” are unnatural, sinful, and unacceptable to God. Accordingly, this ministry will not perform any marriage ceremonies between individuals of the same sex. It will not condone or recognize such same-sex marriages, civil unions, or domestic partnerships even if the state and/or federal government passes laws that provide for recognition of such unions.

Sex & Gender

We believe that marriage is exclusively the legal union of one genetic male an one genetic female and is evidenced by a marriage ceremony. We also believe that legitimate biblical sexual relations are exercise solely within the bounds of a Biblical marriage. Hence, sexual activities such as, but not limited to, adultery, fornications, pre-marital sex, incest, polygamy, homosexuality, transgenderism, bisexuality, cross-dressing, pedophilia, and bestiality are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the Church. Further, lascivious behavior, the creation, viewing, and/or distribution of pornography and the efforts to alter one’s physical gender, or gender related appearance, are incompatible with the true Biblical witness.
